SoMa First Friday Gallery Walk

SoMa First Friday transforms South Main Street's gallery and studio corridor into a walkable arts evening on the first Friday of each month. Galleries open their doors, studios welcome visitors, and several venues set up pop-up bars and food for the occasion. The event draws a cross-section of the city's arts community — artists, collectors, curious newcomers — all moving at whatever pace they choose between spaces. Lost Forty and Rebel Kettle bookend the corridor and provide the unofficial after-party. The April edition typically coincides with multiple new show openings as galleries launch their spring programming.
